Rules And Discipline

Muhammad Danial Fitri Bin Mahamad Fadzili

SECTION 08

Now many rules that school have make to the student have more discipline and more responsibility. Because nowadays, the teenager don't have rules and discipline this is because they didn't ever getting scolded or advice and learn about more moral value by their parent and teach. There don't have more responsibility about the other person.
            Providence High School
At Providence, we recognize that enduring excellence is attained only through honor and strong character traits. Honesty, respect, and responsibility are essential traits of good character and are important to the learning process. The purpose of the Providence High School Honor Code is to establish and uphold high expectations for student success both in academic work and in character development.
ATTENDANCE/ABSENCES
There is a direct correlation between regular school attendance and student achievement; therefore, it is critical that students are in class every day. The North Carolina Attendance Law (GS 115C-378) requires every student to be in attendance at school each day. CMS policy states
that any high school student missing more than 10 days (excused or unexcused) of class in a course for any reason other than a school-initiated (principal approved) absence, will receive a grade of "F" for the course.
In the event of an absence, a student must:
·         Present this note to the attendance secretary prior to first period on the day the student returns to school. Absences are considered to be unexcused until a note is presented. Notes presented more than five days after the student returns to school WILL NOT be accepted.

It is the student’s responsibility to contact individual teachers immediately to make up any work missed during the absence. Arrangements to make up missed assignments (those assigned while a student was absent) are to be made no later than five days after the student returns to school. Assignments madeprior to the absence with a due date during the student absence are due immediately upon return to school. Reference each teacher's Course Prospectus for specific details about missed work.

Okay now, we discuss about discipline .School discipline is the system of rules, punishments, and behavioral strategies appropriate to the regulation of children or adolescentsand the maintenance of order in schools. Its aim is to control the students' actions and behavior.
An obedient student is in compliance with the school rules and codes of conduct. These rules may, for example, define the expected standards of clothing, timekeeping, social conduct, and work ethic. The term discipline is also applied to the punishment that is the consequence of breaking the rules. The aim of discipline is to set limits restricting certain behaviors or attitudes that are seen as harmful or going against school policies, educational norms, school traditions

Many people can use use your post for their personal intentions. Furthermore, people will make fun on your photo. So, people will laughing to you. You will be ashamed. Next, it have many selfie are not appropriate to be taken. Example is funerals, accidents, storms and else. Selfie also can cause you been kidnapped. ADVANTAGES OF SELFIE

As damaging as selfies are portrayed to be, they may actually prove to have several advantages, including raising self-esteem. Despite freshman Caroline Kim's strong self-assurance and confidence, when she posts a photo of herself on Facebook, she also secretly hopes to get multiple encouraging and flattering comments, likes, and shares. And for each one she receives, her confidence goes up one notch higher. here are the some advantages of selfie :

1. Boost self confidence (I feel pretty, Or handsome )2.can be taken by professional or non professional photographer3.easy to use and performed4.group selfies can be fun and enjoy especially wacky snapshots5.can be shared into the social sites where your friends can see you6. Its a lifestyle trend

According to a survey conducted by Common Sense Media of more than 1000 teens aged 13 to 17-years-old, one in five teens felt more confident, popular, and better about themselves when using social media while only 4 percent of teens felt worse about themselves.

Effects of tobacco

The effects of any drug (including tobacco) vary from person to person. How tobacco affects a person depends on many things including their size, weight and health, also whether the person is used to taking it. The effects of tobacco, as with any drug, also depend on the amount taken.
There is no safe level of tobacco use. Use of any drug always carries some risk—even medications can produce unwanted side effects. It is important to be careful when taking any type of drug.

Immediate effects

Low to moderate doses

Some of the effects that may be experienced after smoking tobacco include:
  • initial stimulation, then reduction in activity of brain and nervous system
  • increased alertness and concentration
  • increased blood pressure and heart rate
  • decreased blood flow to fingers and toe
  • bad breath
  • decreased appetite
  • nausea, abdominal cramps and vomiting
  • headache
  • coughing, due to smoke irritation.

Long-term effects

Tar in cigarettes coats the lungs and can cause lung and throat cancer in smokers. It is also responsible for the yellow–brown staining on smokers’ fingers and teeth.
Carbon monoxide in cigarettes reduces the amount of oxygen available to the muscles, brain and blood. This means the whole body—especially the heart—must work harder. Over time this causes airways to narrow and blood pressure to rise, which can lead to heart attack and stroke.
High levels of CO, together with nicotine, increase the risk of heart disease, hardening of the arteries and other circulatory problems.
Some of the long-term effects of smoking (Quit Victoria, 2010) that may be experienced include:
  • increased risk of stroke and brain damage
  • eye cataracts, macular degeneration, yellowing of whites of eyes
  • loss of sense of smell and taste
  • yellow teeth, tooth decay and bad breath
  • cancer of the nose, lip, tongue and mouth
  • possible hearing loss
  • laryngeal and pharyngeal cancers
  • contributes to osteoporosis
  • shortness of breath
  • coughing

Other effects of tobacco use

Passive smoking

Passive smoking occurs when a person who is not smoking breathes in the smoke from people who are smoking. Passive smoking can irritate the eyes and nose and cause a number of health problems such as heart disease and lung cancer. Tobacco smoke is especially harmful to babies and young children.

Using tobacco with other drugs

Nicotine can affect the way the body processes many different drugs. This can affect how these drugs work. For example, nicotine can decrease the effectiveness of benzodiazepines. Smoking while taking the contraceptive pill increases the risk of blood clots forming.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Many drugs can cross the placenta and affect an unborn child. In general, using drugs when pregnant can increase the chances of going into labour early. This can mean that babies are born below the normal birth weight. If a mother uses drugs while breastfeeding, they may be present in her milk, and could affect the baby.Check with your health professional if you are taking or planning to take any drugs during pregnancy, or while breastfeeding.

Tolerance and dependence

People who use tobacco regularly tend to develop a tolerance to the effects of nicotine. This means they need to smoke more tobacco to get the same effect.
They may become dependent on nicotine. Dependence can be psychological, physical, or both. People who are dependent on nicotine find that using the drug becomes far more important than other activities in their life. They crave the drug and will find it very difficult to stop using it.
People who are psychologically dependent on nicotine may find they feel an urge to smoke when they are in specific surroundings or socialising with friends.
Physical dependence occurs when a person’s body adapts to the nicotine and gets used to functioning with the nicotine present.

ORANG UTAN SPECIES

Few more than two million years ago orangutans were part of our Earth. They have definitely evolved plenty since then in order to survive. Researchers believe that many species of them once existed. Unfortunately only two of them have been able to successfully continue to evolve and last until now. They are the Sumatran and the Bornean.  Both of them are in danger of becoming extinct in the near future though if efforts aren’t taken to save them.
While there are plenty of efforts out there, they seem to be slow in making a difference. When you are up against the poaching of them and the destruction of their natural habitat it is hard to find a solution for them. These two species of orangutans are extremely similar in their behaviors and how they survive. The main difference is where they live at. Another difference is the size as the Sumatran is smaller in overall size when full grown.

Orangutan Species

  1. Bornean Orangutan
  2. Sumatran Orangutan
Both of them live in the trees of the rainforests where it is tropical or sub tropical. They feed on a variety of foods but mainly fruits. They also eat insects, bark, plants, leaves, and shoots. They can spend seven hours of their time eating every day. That adds up to lots of food that they need to find. Both species migrate daily about one mile. They will create two nests daily  – one for when they nap and a new one when they sleep at night.
Orangutans aren’t social at all when they are adults. They may tolerate each other in a zoo setting but that isn’t usually the norm in the wild. The males are extremely territorial. They will try to get others to run off but if that doesn’t work they will fight to protect their own areas. The females are more tolerant of others but they don’t interact except with their young.
The predators of both these species of orangutans include the big cat, pythons, and humans. They spend almost all of their time in the trees to help protect them from predators. They can live about 30 to 40 years in the wild and about 50 years in captivity. They are mild in temperament but they can be aggressive if they feel threatened. Females are extremely volatile when it comes to protecting their young.

How many species of orangutans exist?
The adult male of the Bornean Orangutan.
Hopefully with the education that people now have as well as conservation efforts, there will be a future for these two orangutan species. The Sumatran species are more at risk with only about 7,300 of them left in the world. The Bornean have a population from 45,000 to 56,000. Even so, they are dropping in numbers very quickly.
Both of these species have very slow reproduction rates. Mating doesn’t have a set season so it can take place at any time. However, the males aren’t mature until they are about 15 years of age and it is about 12 years of age for the females. Another problem is that the females care for their offspring so long. It can be up to 8 years so they won’t mate during that period of time.

IS SMOKING BAD FOR YOU ??

What is smoking ?

Smoking is responsible for several diseases, such as cancer, long-term (chronic) respiratory desease, and heart disease, as well as premature death.

How many people die ?

Over 440,000 people in the USA and 100,000 in the UK die because of smoking each year. TYPES OF RABBIT

The American Rabbit Breeders Association has laid out the breed standards for 47 different breeds of rabbits. In this article I an going to attempt to group those 47 different breeds into 5 different rabbit type categories and provide you with pictures of each for better comprehension. If you are interested in learning more about the individual traits and qualities of each of those rabbit breeds, I suggest that you check out our rabbit breeds article.

There are five main different type rabbit type categories that rabbits are commonly classified by Rabbit Body Type, Rabbit Fur Type, Rabbit Sizes, Rabbit Purpose and Domestic vs Wild Rabbits. We will mainly be focusing on the classification of the demostic rabbit breeds in this article as those are the only ones that ARBA recognizes and the ones that the vast majority of rabbit breeders raise.

RABBIT BODY TYPES

The rabbit body type breed classifications include; Commercial Rabbit Breeds, Compact Rabbit Breeds, Cylindrical Rabbit Breeds, Full - Arch Rabbit Breeds and lastly, Semi - Arch Rabbit Breeds. In this article we will be looking at all five of these classifications in great detail.

Commercial Rabbit Breeds

Commercial Rabbit Breeds
One of common rabbit body types include the Commercial Rabbit Breeds. Like indicated by the name, the rabbits that make up this category tend to be used as prodectuin animals and meat rabbits. The rabbits that make up this "Commercial" category tend to grow fast and have large meaty loins. Many rabbit breeds have pointed out that these bunny rabbits look very similar to the "Compact Rabbit Breeds" except they are a lot bigger.

Compact Rabbit Breeds

Some of the smaller breeds of rabbits make up the
Compact Rabbit BreedsCompact Rabbit Breeds category. Rabbits in this "Compact" category will many times look well  balanced when you set them up properly.
Cylinder Rabbit Breeds

Cylindrical Rabbit Breeds       The Cylindrical Breed category currently consists of only one representative. The sole representative from this 'Cylindrical' category is the Himalayan Rabbit. Many breeders have noted that the Himalayan Rabbits looks a lot like smaller version of the Californian Rabbit however their shape is cylindrical in nature. When these rabbits are posed properly on the judging table they should be laid out in a 'cylindrical' like fashion.

Full - Arch Rabbit Breeds

Fully Arched Rabbit BreedsRabbits that have been categorized in the Full - Arch Rabbit Breed category tend to be "always alert" and "energetic" in nature. Many of the rabbits in this category have very erect ears and possess a spotted fur coat. In addition to being commonly classified by "Rabbit Body Type" rabbits are also classified by the fur on their pelts. There are four main types of rabbit fur; Normal Rabbit Fur, Rex Rabbit Fur, Satin Rabbit Fur and Wool Rabbit Fur.

Semi - Arch Rabbit Breeds

Semi-Arched Rabbit Breeds   In addition to being commonly classified by "Rabbit Body Type" rabbits are also classified by the fur on their pelts. There are four main types of rabbit fur; Normal Rabbit Fur, Rex Rabbit Fur, Satin Rabbit Fur and Wool Rabbit Fur.

      RULES AND DISCIPLINE

It is essential for kids to know what the rules are. However, many parents aren’t even sure exactly what the rules are in the house. It might depend on what sort of mood they are in or which parent is home. Creating rules for children is an important step in establishing effective discipline strategies.

Reasons for Rules

Establishing a set of household rules helps kids understand the importance of having boundaries and limits. Kids look for adults to learn about appropriate and acceptable behaviors and having a written list of rules helps make this clear to children.
Rules can also be a reminder for adults who are trying to model positive behaviors for the kids. If the rule states that everyone must pick up their dishes, it is important for the adults to do so as well and a written set of rules can help reinforce this.A written set of rules can also help ensure that all the caregivers are on the same page. That way, when there’s a babysitter or when Grandma comes over, everyone will know that the kids are expected to put their dishes in the sink or do whatever is on your list.
This can also help kids remind each other of the rules. Kids will often say to their friend who comes over to visit, “At my house we’re not allowed to jump on the couch.” This is a sign of a parent who has been clear about the expectations.

10 Tips for Establishing Household Rules

Create a Written List of Rules

It is important that you write out the list of rules and hang them in a prominent location. Keeping the rules on the refrigerator or displayed somewhere where everyone can see them is a good reminder.
When creating the list of rules, don’t list every single rule imaginable. Instead, try to limit it to the ten most important rules. I’ve seen some parents come up with several pages of rules which turns out to be more like a rule book rather than a list. Remember, it is important to make the list easy to remember and to be a basic guide.
Try to word the rules positively. For example instead of saying, “Don’t throw your clothes on the floor,” try using, “Place your dirty clothes in the hamper.” Make a list of what “to do” instead of “what not to do” when possible.
Get the kids involved in making the rules. This authoritative approach of involving children in creating the rules can help keep them motivated to follow them. Ask their opinion about what sorts of things they think are important when creating the rules and try to include some of their ideas.
